The last stage in her poetry book is titled, “the healing” where Kaur describes, “it is a part of the human experience to feel pain” (152). Kaur’s fantasy evaporates and reality strikes, leaving her with the reality that love is not easy, resulting in a breakup by the end of the chapter. The next stage is named “the breaking” where the love she had turns into something toxic. This fantasy transforms into a type of love she now knows that is filled with joy, support, and pleasure, which differs greatly from her past. Because the only “love” Kaur had ever known involved abuse and fear, she begins writing about a fantasy type of love. ![]() The next stage in her book is titled “the loving”. The text and images incorporated in the book describe the sexual, emotional, and physical abuse she suffered. This abstract portrayal of her life begins in “the hurting,” which consists of abuse she as a child and her mother faced that was bestowed upon them by her father. Rupi Kaur’s Milk and Honey free verse poetry novel consists of experiences of Kaur’s life in stages progressing from hurting to healing. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There is a point in the middle when I breathe raggedly, as though from a gut punch (Ward’s description of the dog fight). In 1957 Rodolfo Walsh with Operacin Masacre started a new trend of writing newspaper articles that later received several names (literary journalism. ![]() Specifically, the approach of the left to Peronism generates an attraction in intellectuals who, like Walsh, see in Perón’s doctrine a political resistance against the injustices of the State. ![]() But the complaint does not stay the same throughout the different editions of the book, the evolution of which is in line with other socio-political changes in the country. Six months after these events, Walsh, who was then twenty-nine, was sitting in a caf when a man approached him and said cryptically. The denunciation project based on its production context –Argentina after Revolución Libertadora (1955)– conditions the use of these genres due to their suitability to link fiction and political reality.
